Chillin' & daydreaming

Today I have been mostly sitting in a coffee shop listening to Joni Mitchell on my iPod and doing the Times Samurai Sudoku and the jumbo crossword. Considering its a lovely sunny day maybe I should have been out somewhere taking photos and making the most of it but for me Sundays are about relaxation.

On the way home I started daydreaming about a kind of business I'd like to run if I had a clue about such things and the necessary capital. It'd be a members only club that'd be a shrine to relaxation. Not a spa, although I think I would have a couple of rooms where you could get a massage, but somewhere you could have a coffee (or tea etc but no alcohol) and read the paper in a nice peaceful atmosphere.

I'd have one room that was completely quiet. No music or talking and with wood panelling and soft leather armchairs. And lots of shelves full of books and various newspapers to read. No food allowed in there either but you can take drinks in.

Another would be much the same but with soft music and food and talking allowed. I'm not sure whether I might have two rooms like this, one done out like the quiet room and another a bit more modern.

I'd have a dining room with a top notch chef providing the food. Mixture of tables and a more relaxed seating area. It'd be open for breakfast and lunch. Maybe dinner as well if I decided to open in the evenings.

Then there'd be the aforementioned rooms where you can get a massage with relaxing background music & maybe some aromatherapy.

And I think I'd have a couple of themed rooms eg beach sounds and decor with loungers and maybe a woodland themed room.

Sounds good doesn't it? I'd love to have somewhere like that. A haven of tranquility. Ooh that's a thing. I could have a Zen garden. Oh and there'd be a service where if you fell asleep you could let a member of staff know in advance what time you need to be out and they'd come and wake you up.

Damn I wish I was there now.
