Snow joke

Just had a quick look at the BBC website and in particular the weather forecast since I'm supposed to be going for a day out in York with mum on Friday. Hmmm, lets see.... sun, sun, sun sun, heavy snow shower, sun....hold on a minute..... HEAVY SNOW SHOWER???

Is this someone's idea of a joke?
